Words of Encouragement

There are no quick fixes or easy answers for us.

Whatever your circumstances, perhaps these thoughts will encourage you. As you work through hard things, remember that your child is in pain, and compassion and patience will help. Pour into the relationship; pour out love. Health and healing and hope begin here. Hold on to the tenets of the Braveheart message, and nurture courage, strength, and love.

It may seem a feeble offering, but this continues to carry our family. We are still a family full of love and warmth through pain and suffering. As we mention in Our Story, if we can make it through what we’ve had to make it through, then you can make it through what you have to make it through. If this is what you have, you can do this, too.

Living life in pain takes courage. Watching your children hurt takes courage. Fighting the good fight takes courage. Keep going. You will find help, and freedom in knowing you’re doing the best you can do.

We need to strengthen ourselves in order to help our children. We need to be strong in body, mind, and spirit. Whether we need to add exercise, take vitamins, or seek counseling, we need to be at our healthiest to do our jobs well. As we strive to be better parents, we can learn how to guide our children through their emotions and assist them in their challenges while building relationships that are rich and beautiful. And if life takes us down the hardest roads, we will have resources and support in place to help us cope as we keep loving our families, living life fully, and holding onto hope.

We will not give up. We never give up on our kids! We keep learning. Keep trying. Keep searching. We keep loving and sharing and fighting the good fight and holding on to hope.

This is what we do. We are the Bravehearts.
